Wednesday Pre-day #30 Posh Velvet Backsack

Create something for "YOU" that is actually functional & stylish. Soft & buttery velvet is used to pull all of the colors & techniques together creating a Posh Backsack. Some "easy" fabric felting techniques are added for a surprise touch adding glamour. A vintage embroidered rose ties the old world charm together with the new!

Rose Garden Embroidery Collection is used for the pocket. An embroidered covered button is a sneak peak at a new embroidery collection coming soon.

#28 Strawberry Scissor Chatelaine

Pre-Day Tuesday July 21st 4:30pm - 7:30pm

Come relax after a day of sewing with an embroidery project that is created entirely in the embroidery hoop. No sewing at all! The chatelaine is a free-standing pocket created from beautiful rose and sage green silk dupioni that is the perfect size to hold your small scissors. The chatelaine can be worn around the neck and includes an embroidered hang hole which is punched out with an eyelet tool. The strawberry forms the front pocket with tiny seeds and detailed padded stitching on leaves and stems which form the top edge of the pocket. The back of the pocket resembles lace from an heirloom doily with a center oval motif of candlewicking and strawberries. The intricate lace is slightly raised to form a padded look which gives the design great dimension. Have fun and leave with a finished project!
